About Westgate Poetry Press

Westgate Poetry Press (WPP) formerly known as Westgate Press [of St. Louis] that was founded by Ernest W. Stix, Jr. in 2007 in University City, Missouri.  Peter B. Stix, succeeding Ernest Stix, renamed the press to its present name so as to differentiate it from similarly named presses not of St. Louis.

Primarily, WPP is a small independent publishing entity focusing on the various works of Judith Saul Stix - St. Louis poet, author, and writer.

In 2008, Westgate Press [of St. Louis], now Westgate Poetry Press, published Woman/Years, a four-volume, hard-bound collection containing more than 1200 of Judith Stix's poems written between 1956 and 2007.

In 2024, WPP published a selection of her more recent work, spanning about 15 years between 2008 and 2024, in a single volume titled Heart like a falling leaf.

WPP and WP enlisted the services of both: Daniel Franklin, who designed and edited all of these works; and Village Bookworks, who composed them.

Besides these works, a number of other work by Judith Stix are cataloged here, including: chapbooks, individual printed poems, and other materials.
